A mother–daughter legal journey turned into support for the legal community.

Building a legal career is rarely simple....but for women and international lawyers, the path is often quieter, heavier, and lonelier. Between caregiving, career pauses, unfamiliar systems, and the pressure to keep moving without support, even the most capable lawyers can feel unmoored.

Our story began in 2015, building a cross-border practice and learning firsthand what it takes to survive, and grow, across jurisdictions. But what makes Legal Owls personal is that this journey was shared: a mother and daughter completing their U.S. LLMs together, entering the U.S. legal world side by side, and building a practice rooted in mutual support and resilience.
